Kristle Baylor-Johnson was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia. She was raised with love and inspired to be inquisitive and artist by both of her parents. The oldest of three daughters, Kristle discovered the importance of having a courageous heart. She has never been afraid to face the mountain of fear crippling so many others. This strength and determination shines through in all that she does, especially in her son. Passing down the lessons learned through her youth, Kristle knows the one thing she can give her son is her story and hopes he will do the same when he has a family of his own.
Kristle is the founder and owner of Du’s Blossom Garden LLC. Inspired by the legacy of her mother, Durcellia T. Baylor (aka Du), it is a custom artist shop catering to the eclectic and collector of unique and lovingly crafted pieces. Kristle lost her mother in 2020 and it left a hole in her soul. She struggled through a broken heart, was unable to understand what happened, and battled depression before finding a light in the dark.
The pain she endured in her grief allowed her to discover her gift of becoming an artist. Kristle refers to this as the circle of love. She now creates custom wreaths to tell the story of her mother’s life, taking great care to include those who were involved throughout the years, as well as displaying the pain she felt in the aftermath of Du’s passing. Each wreath comes with a personalized name which only her heart can give.
Kristle has discovered her strength and continues to improve through the days. Her mission is to encourage others that this pain is temporary and can only make us stronger. She firmly believes in never losing sight of the faith that is inside us all. Kristle knows God was the one who brought her through the fires of grief and ensured she did not get burned.
